General Fixes - Firewalls, Security Suites and Ports
Most PCs have a Firewall and Security Suites which restrict unauthorised Internet connections, protecting your computer from viruses and other potentially harmful software. You will need to instruct your firewall/Security Suites to allow the downloadable bet365 client to connect to the Internet. If you are at work or on a network you may not have administrative privileges for your PC, if this is the case then you will need to contact a computer administrator and request access to the internet for the bet365 client. If you do have administrative privileges then you will have to configure your Firewall yourself.
Please refer to your individual firewall help files on how to configure correctly. The default file directory for the bet365 client is the C:Pokerbet365casino.exe.
If you are using Windows XP please note that since the Service Pack 2 (SP2) update Windows XP includes a built-in Firewall. The first time you launch the Poker application after installing SP2, a dialog box appears asking you if you want to allow this application to connect to the Internet. Click Yes. From now on the Firewall will consider the poker application a safe program. If you have previously instructed the Firewall not to allow the poker application then you will have to configure the Windows Firewall and add the bet365 casino.exe file to the Exceptions list.
If you are still having problems after configuring your firewall you will need to make sure that ports 443, 4000-4250, 4400-5010 are open for outgoing traffic. Open ports are not required for incoming traffic. If you do not know how to open ports in a firewall then contact your computer administrator or ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Unusual browser behaviour and general slow performance - Spyware
When browsing the Internet, do you experience any of the following symptoms?
1. Browser displaying unusual behaviour
2. Internet links not responding as expected
3. Internet pages excessively slow to load
4. Slow PC performance when opening or saving files
5. Unexpected/unusual error messages
6. New and unexpected toolbars in your browser
7. Difficulty connecting to the Internet
If so, your computer may have become infected with spyware.
This can be fairly common and it is not unusual for a computer to have numerous spyware programs running on it. Spyware by its nature is usually installed without the user realising, and can sometimes be installed along with software the user thinks is legitimate.
There are numerous software packages available to help clean your computer of spyware and other malicious software. You can also run a quick scan online, we recommend using either of the following free, quick and easy spyware removal tools:
1. Trend Micro's free online spyware removal utility.
2. Lavasoft's Ad-Aware 2007 free standalone Spyware scanning utility.
Please note, these programs are only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher running on Windows XP or Windows 2000.

Video Poker Disconnection
If a player has a winning hand(s) and is disconnected prior to being able to gamble, their winnings will be credited to their account and they will not have the option to gamble when they reconnect.
What will happen to my hand after being disconnected?
If you lose your connection, whether for problems with your PC, ISP or modem, the system will wait a reasonable amount of time for you to reconnect. If you do not reconnect during this time and you have placed a bet during this time, the poker software will treat you as all-in so that you are not penalised for connection problems. The player can continue in the hand and contest the amount of the pot that they were financially involved in. This is called Disconnection Protection (DP).
To prevent abuse of this system we limit the amount of all-ins available. If you lose connectivity but have already used your allocated all-ins, your hand will be automatically folded. Any player who misuses this protection by intentionally disconnecting, may:
Forfeit any money won.
Lose disconnection protection privileges.
Face expulsion from the site.
Unfortunately there is no disconnection protection policy for tournaments, so you will be marked ‘away from the table’, and your hands will be folded and blinded off until you reconnect.
Players must accept the risk of disconnections. They can and do occur. Note that we do offer tables where the DP facility is disabled, where players have no disconnection protection at all. These tables are clearly marked in the lobby and all players may choose to play on these tables.
